Stroke Index 1, the Par 4 3rd hole is very demanding. A strong strong and straight drive is the key here, making sure you avoid the large fairway bunker on the left. A lengthy second shot then remains to a very tricky green sloping from right to left particularly on the left hand side of the green. A ditch crosses the fairway not far from the green and it sits unnoticed in a dip in the fairway as well as running diagonally across it (the right side is further from the green than the left). You have to decide whether to go for the green in two or lay up short of the ditch, it's never a straightforward choice. The green has a pot bunker on the right hand side and often the pin is tucked close to it. Top Tip : If your drive is not long and straight consider a lay up, there's nothing wrong with a 5 on this hole.
